Simulating, Scheduling, and Saving: Optimizing Kubernetes with David Morrison
Hi friends! I don’t have a long-form text post this week, for a couple reasons: one, we just got back from vacation, which was really delightful, but I’ve still been getting back into the swing of things, and two, because I was on another podcast! This time was “Kubernetes for Humans” with Itiel Shwartz, the founder and CTO at Komodor. This was a very different style of podcast than the “Picture Me Coding” episode I was on earlier this year, but it was equally enjoyable, I hope you check it out!
On an unrelated front, I picked up a copy of Building a Debugger: Write a Native x86 Debugger from Scratch by Sy Brand, and in my free time I’ve been working through that book—of course I’m doing it in Rust because I’m a masochist, but if you’re curious/want to follow along with my progress there, all the source code is on GitHub, and each time I finish a chapter I tag the commit. I have visions of making a debugger for Rustlang that doesn’t suck, but… realistically I’ll probably not get that far. Anyways, follow along if you want!
Next week I’m going to write up a summary post of the results from my HMC Clinic project from last year, so definitely stick around for that.
