About this blog
Applied Computing Research Labs (ACRL) is a small business doing open-source research and development in distributed systems. This space hosts approximately weekly updates about what we’ve been up to! We’ll talk about Kubernetes, Rust, Golang, the tech industry, and more!
You can subscribe for free, or if you like the work we’re doing, you can support us with a paid subscription. We are an open-source first company, so all our posts are public. You do not have to support us monetarily to gain access to our research.
Open-source development is a notoriously thankless job. Usually it’s done as a hobby, in a person’s spare time. At ACRL we are attempting to change this! While this blog is not our sole, or even primary, source of income, every little bit helps! If you believe that developers should be able to make a living working on open source projects, and you like the work that we’re doing, please consider subscribing to help us keep doing it!
Benefits of a paid subscription
By funding a paid subscription, you get the following benefits:
Early access to posts: normally posts go up for paid subscribers on Friday afternoon, and will be made available to everyone else on Monday morning. So if you’re looking for some light weekend reading, a paid subscription is the way to go!
Support our caffeine addiction: the stuff we do is, like, hard and stuff, and we can’t do it without caffeine. If you purchase a paid subscription, you’ll buy us approximately three-quarters of a cup of overpriced fancy coffee each month.
Feel good about yourself and make the world a better place for open source developers: ‘nuff said.
